Restore a Score
Our Restore a Score scheme has aided the conservation and preservation of many manuscripts and early volumes in our collection. The Library receives no external funding for such work which is vital if the collections are to be preserved for future generations of students and researchers.

Donations to the RCM Library have from its very inception made a significant contribution to the quality of its collections and to the range of material available for students and professors.
It is the library’s policy to accept whenever possible musical literature and printed music as well as more valuable manuscript and early printed volumes.
The library retains the right to keep or dispose of all that it is offered. The library is also happy to receive donations of recordings, but can no longer accept LPs, cassettes or 78rpm discs.
Unless collections offered are of considerable historical significance, we cannot guarantee to keep them intact, but potential donors are welcome to contact the library to discuss their wishes or to receive suggestions as to possible alternative homes.
The Library often has projects in which volunteers can assist.
If you are interested in any of the above please contact Peter Linnitt, the Librarian (firstname.lastname@example.org).
